601/5321/0 EAL Requirements For Electrical Installations BS7671

This award gives the learner an understanding of the application of the IET Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition. It provides a facility for individuals working in the electrotechnical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge on the Requirements for Electrical Installations.

600/4340/4 EAL Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection and testing of electrical equipment (PAT)

 The skills and knowledge required to carry out the in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. This Award has one unit which covers: statutory and non-statutory requirements, electrical units, equipment construction; inspection and testing theory, practical inspection and testing of equipment and completion of documentation. The award follows the Industry recognised IET (IEE) Code of Practice published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. It provides a facility for individuals to develop and/or enhance their knowledge and skills in order they can inspect electrical equipment which is ‘in-service’.

600/4337/4 EAL Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations

The application of knowledge involved with the inspection and testing of electrical installations. Each Award has one unit which covers the necessary learning outcomes for initial verification, and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations. This includes learning outcomes about safe isolation, inspection, safe testing, pre-energised and energised tests; documentation and the practical use of test equipment.

600/4338/6 EAL Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations

The application of knowledge involved with the inspection and testing of electrical installations. Each Award has one unit which covers the necessary learning outcomes for initial verification, and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations. This includes learning outcomes about safe isolation, inspection, safe testing, pre-energised and energised tests; documentation and the practical use of test equipment.

Basic Electrical Course

The course includes electrical installations, methods and, wiring and background to inspection and testing. If you have no formal qualifications or have no knowledge of electrical systems, this course is ideally suited.

Electrical Safety Awareness (Installation) Course

This course is designed to provide guidance on working safely on low voltage electrical equipment & systems (up to 1000V AC 1500V DC) located within industrial environments. The course will assist employees and companies to reduce the risk of personal injury, due to electrocution and arc flash, also to help prevent damage to assets due to operator error.

Electrical Safety Awareness (Controls) Course

Attendee must have already attended Electrical Safety (Installation) and Electrical Safety (Controls) prior to attending the above course.
