HTR1 Domestic open, balanced and fan assisted flued gas fires and wall heaters

This Gas Safety Assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in the work of installation, exchange, disconnection, servicing, repair, breakdown and commissioning of domestic open, balanced and fan assisted flued gas fires and wall heaters by practical and knowledge & understanding assessment.

Range of appliances covered - Open flued gas fire (radiant/convector), open flued inset live fuel effect gas fire (ILFE), open flued decorative fuel effect gas fire (DFE) balanced flued gas fire and balanced fan assisted wall heater.

Non Domestic engineers can undertake Domestic HTR1, without the need to undertake CCN1, only if they encounter domestic sized appliances within non domestic premises.

This qualification will be certified and entered onto the Gas Safe Register, however, it will not show on your operatives Gas Safe Card.

It is now mandatory for all engineers wishing to renew or undertake CEN1 and/or HTR1 to also hold or undertake CPA1.
