To work with natural gas in a domestic environment, candidates must hold CCN1 as their core qualification and then achieve certification in the various appliances, Cookers, Fires, Central Heating etc.
SWPT can also provide the Commercial to Domestic changeover (COCDN1) and LPG to Domestic (COLPNG1)

CMDDA - Carbon dioxide/carbon monoxide atmosphere & appliance testing
NB: CCN1 now includes CPA1 Combustion Performance Analysis as this is no longer required to be undertaken as a separate qualification when taking the core assessment.
Either core gas assessment or a changeover assessment must be completed by the operative prior to taking any other commercial assessment.
Candidates must have achieved completion of a full Managed Learning Programme before attendance or already hold a core gas qualification.
COMMERCIAL CORE/CHANGEOVERS INCLUDE:
COCN1 (or CODNCO changeover) - Commercial gas
CCCN1 (or CODC changeover) - Commercial Catering
CCLNG (or COCCLNG changeover) - Commercial Laundry
Commercial (COCN1/CODNCO) Appliances include:
ICPN1 - First Fix Commercial Pipework. Installing pipework in excess of 35mm and testing up to 75mbar.
TPCP1 - Tightness testing & purging of installation pipework exceeding 1m³ in volume, up to 16 bar operating pressure (natural gas) & 2 bar operating pressure for LPG.
TPCP1A - Tightness testing and direct purging of installation pipework not exceeding 1m³ in volume, 40 mbar pressure and 150mm diameter natural gas only. Testing and purging to IGE/UP/1A or IGE/UP/1.Testing and purging commercial gas installations
ICAE1 - First Fix Commercial Appliances. Installing commercial appliances and equipment
CIGA1 -Indirect Fired Heating Appliances. Installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding on indirect fired heating appliances
CDGA1 -Direct Fired Heating Appliances. Installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding on direct fired heating appliances.
CORT1 -Radiant Plaque and Radiant Tube Heaters. Installing, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding on radiant plaque and tube heaters.
BMP - Gas Boosters and compressors, Associated controls and pipework operating at pressures not exceeding 7 bar
CGFE - installation, commission, service, repair and breakdown of gas fuelled spark ignition and dual fuelled engines (REASSESSMENT ONLY)
MET4 - Primary diaphragm type gas meters from 6 cubic metres to 40 cubic metres per hour capacity with pipework up to 2" in size
Catering (CCCN1/CODC) appliances include:
COMCAT1 - Open/Solid Top Ranges
COMCAT2 - Water Boilers (Pressure Type)
COMCAT3 - Deep Fat & Pressure Fryers
COMCAT4 - Fish & Chip Fryers (on-site assessment only)
COMCAT5 - Forced Draught Equipment (on-site assessment only)
