Water Regulations Assessments (WRAS)
The Water Regulations course has been developed in collaboration with WRAS, the Water
Regulations Advisory Scheme for England and Wales is targeted at individuals who wish to
carry out work with their local water company.
The two day course covers the contents of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and the role in preventing waste, misuse, undue consumption, contamination and erroneous measurement of water, along with the knowledge of how to comply in practice and advice on existing water systems where non-compliance or risk are involved. Not included are installation skills, other than appropriate location of fittings using knowledge and understanding. The UK Certification Ltd provided Water Regulations qualification has been accepted by WRAS Ltd on behalf of the Water Industry as a recognised qualification to become an approved contractor, subject to the other terms and conditions of the scheme. Please confirm with whomsoever you intend to register with, that they will accept certification as proof of completion before booking.
LEGIONELLA
The Legionella Prevention and Water Treatment Operatives course is designed for installers who carry out work on water supply systems within residential properties, enabling them to understand the requirements of the ACOP document L8, HSE guidance, British Standards and Water Regulations. The legionella course also covers, BS 6700, BSEN 806 parts 1-5, BS8558 including disinfection of water systems
With the increased publicity surrounding recent outbreaks of Legionnaires, effective water treatment is of paramount importance to those carrying out installation and maintenance of hot and cold water supply systems.
Unvented and Vented Hot Water Systems Assessment (also known as HWSS, G3, V/UHW)
This course is designed to train engineers in the installation and safety requirements for domestic vented and unvented hot water systems and is designed to meet the requirements of Building Regulation G3.
